About Hengwood
Born From Passion, Developed with Craftsmanship
Founded by Mr Yap Heng, Hengwood Sdn Bhd was born out of the passion and love for working with wood, coupled with the commitment of producing solid timber flooring products of the highest quality. After operating for 17 years as a partnership, a change in both company direction and philosophy prompted Mr. Yap to take over the company, renaming it Hengwood. This name took “Heng” from his own name, and joining it with the nature of the business – Wood. Thus, Hengwood Sdn Bhd was born, reflecting both his desire that the company share his own passion of love for timber coupled with the promise that every piece of lumber leaving his company would bear his personal seal of approval, guaranteeing his commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

In March 2008, Hengwood had centralised production line (which can provide 2 millions square feet per year), warehouse, showroom and administration office at Taman Industri Alam Jaya, Bandar Puncak Alam. In order to cater for clients need and to back up for projects on hand, we keep about RM5 millions worth of finish products in our warehouse. There are variety of sizes and species available. For example Burmese Teakwood, Indonesia Teakwood, Burmese Ironwood, Burmese Walnut, Rosewood, South America Golden Teak, US White Oak, Tasmania Oak, Maple, Beech, Cherry, Merbau, Keranji, Yellow Balau, Kempas and etc.
