FanSpan.com is a social networking website designed to connect sports fans and locate team/sport specific places to watch games. The website was founded in 2008 by University of Oregon schoolmates Ryan Lewis and Kevin Janssen. Members of FanSpan.com build their own fully customizable sports fan profile and grow their fan network. Members can create fan groups and share unlimited content over the network. According to the company, FanSpan attempts to map the sports fan world with zip code team identification of members, groups and businesses. As with other social-networking sites, it is free to register and there are no fees for users.

Photos, Blogs, Video, Comments

Users are allowed to upload unlimited photos, videos, blogs and comments. Most of the site has the ability to read html, so embedded content is accepted. Users can share all content across the network or post them using any popular social bookmarking site.

FanSpan Feed

The FanSpan Feed allows members to quickly see the activities of other friends on the network.

Watch Sites

A Watch Site is a place where sports fans watch games. FanSpan identifies these places (often sports bars and restaurants) by teams. The goal is to group people together with common interests to watch sports.
