"Sarey Savy" (born March 1, 1996) is a Cambodian singer-songwriter, Spokesmodel-Model and Actor.

Personal Life

Sarey has 2 sisters, 1 sister-in-law, 1 brother, 1 brother-in-law and is the uncle of 2 nephews and 1 niece.[1]. Aside music and modeling, Savy enjoys drawing and dancing.

Acting

Savy will be making his first appearence in the Thriller/Suspense movie Sanitorium with close friend Lina Huynh [2]. Savy states that after he completes the movie and festival that he would take a break for school Template:Fact.

Reality Television

Early 2010, Savy appeared on America's Got Talent's top 40 YouTube singers which premiered on YouTube But, FrantleMedia the company who co-owned the TV show deleted the video. According to FrantleMedia, Sarey is the first Cambodian in history to make it onto a reality show Template:Fact.

Activism

Savy joined the 2 campaigns to help the LGBT Rights "Think Before You Speak" and "NOH8". According to his i'm Facebook Savy says friends at school classify his sexuality as Bisexual. "I don't want to classify myself, i'm trying to figure out who i am" says Sarey.

Music Career

In 2010 Savy released his new promotional single Murderer which recived mixed reviews form critics and is the singer's first single to air on radio stations [3][4]. Savy's new song is compared to Michael Jackson's Thirller with his new single Murderer. According to News Press Releases audiences give the singer a 5 out of 5 for that feeling but, recieved mixed reviews from other critics. Ever since the single has been released Cambodian bloggers say Sarey Savy is "The coolest Cambodian kid you never heard of"[5]. After releasing the single Savy was also featured on Celebrity Bitch Fest which some fans of Michael Jackson on Twitter call Sarey out as "Michael Jackson's Worst Impersonator"[6]. "I don't understand what i did wrong. All i did was get the influence of Michael Jackson to create one simple song as a tribute is that bad?" Savy states on his official Google blog which was deleted a few days before July.

Sarey also, recorded a song which was linked to Haiti named Hands For Haiti[7][8].

As of June 2010, Sarey says he would go back to music and release his first single after he completes his movie.
