[edit] KA24E+T & KA24DE+T

Aftermarket turbocharger kits are available for the KA24DE as well as many other Nissan engines. After the engine is turbocharged, it is generally referred to as a KA24DET. The KA24DET was never produced by Nissan. The "T" at the end of the engine code indicates that the engine is turbocharged. The turbocharger is added to increase power in Nissan's 2.4 L DOHC inline 4 engine. Some enthusiasts turbo charge their KA24E (SOHC) and they call it the KA24ET. This was also never produced by Nissan in a turbocharged version. More information on this subject can be found at www.ka-t.org
