The Maserati GranTurismo is grand tourer produced by Italian automaker Maserati. It was officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2007. [1] The grand tourer was available either as a coup" coup or a convertible, and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 1993.[2] The Aston Martin DB7 was a grand tourer made by Aston Martin from September 1994 to December 2003.[2] Performance cars of all configurations are grouped as Sports and Grand tourer cars, or, occasionally, as performance cars. A sports car does not require a large, powerful engine engine, though many do have them.[3] Many modern cars, especially grand tourers, also use a FMR layout, with the motor sitting between the front axle and the firewall.[3]

The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, often shortened to Vanquish, was designed by Ian Callum, and is a grand tourer manufactured by Aston Martin. From its 2001 introduction to its cancellation, it was Aston Martin's flagship vehicle. Its rise to recognition by the wider public came after being featured as the official James Bond car in Die Another Day, the twentieth James Bond film. It is also the "special occasion car" in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. It was discontinued in 2007.[4]
