The pair Im replacing are Betulas and I bought them 3yrs ago.[2] I just received a pair of "Betula licenced by Birkenstock" mocha brown nubuck backstrap sandals. These are NOT the same as the true Birkenstock.[2]

I got the Betula Mocha Brown Nubuck Backstrap Sandal simply because I couldn't afford the actual Birkies.[2]

I've owned two pairs of Birkenstocks and one pair of Betula's that I'm now replacing after 4 years.[2] As it turns out, you can have Birkenstock sandals repaired over time as long as the cork isnt too badly damaged. All one has to do is take them to a liscensed dealer and 25.00 later, you have a repaired pair of sandals. Other brands can come up with knockoffs, but nothing matches a true anatomically correct Birkenstock.[2] I suggest going to a store that sells Birkenstocks and seeing what size your largest foot is before buying online so as to avoid the hassle of having to mail back the sandals and trying to get the correct size. Once you have all the necessary info, you are set to buy them to your feet's content. You wont regret buying these sandals.[2] Although the sandal is approved by Birkenstock, the upper material is not as sturdy as the original birkenstock.[2] They seem to be good sandals, but the sizing runs smaller than Birkenstocks.[2]

This is a great sandal, i bought i pair to replace a pair of simmilar sandals i had for 4 years. and i think they are just great, the footbed is VERY comfortable, and the leather.[2]
